Dear Dancers, Together, we are facing a truly unprecedented situation. The global coronavirus pandemic is affecting all our families, businesses, communities, and our way of life. During this time, I wanted to reach out and update you on how we’re approaching the situation of re-opening Stardust for our June 18-20th, 2021 event. First and foremost, our hearts go out to anyone who’s been impacted by the virus, either directly or indirectly. Our thoughts are especially with those who are sick, to whom we extend our heartfelt wishes for a full recovery. And we’re truly inspired by the selfless healthcare workers around the world who are on the front lines working tirelessly to care for people in need. Second, at Stardust, we’re focused on the health and safety of our employees, hotel staff, and our dance guests. Thirdly, our relentless commitment to our success is stronger than ever. Our company was founded on fun, innovation, and trust. Our values are unwavering and continue to guide everything we do. We have formed an amazing team to meet with the New York Department of Health and local and Sullivan county officials. Based on the New York Governor’s latest guidelines/restrictions that came to us just last week, we presented our opening plan, and it was sent to Albany for the Governor’s approval, which was denied at this time. Getting our plans approved in time for the June event does not look good. Between the state and county, the bureaucracies don’t respond as fast as I would like. As we go forward, restrictions and guidelines are changing constantly. We plan on presenting our plan again based on new information. We’ll be sure to keep you updated, and know that we always value your questions, ideas and feedback.

***What a year…….April 2021 is cancelled based on the very latest New York government guidelines . For vaccines, testing, or whatever protocol is announced, we will be following the guidelines issued for the hospitality and travel industries. So, it would be best to plan ahead to take the vaccine as soon as possible. All of this, to get us back to enjoying Stardust as soon as possible. Our hearts couldn’t be more full due to the outpouring of support from our incredible Stardust guests and friends waiting for the re-opening of our events. We want to do a special shout out to Loren Finkelstein, editor of The Dance Calendar on Long Island and to Ginger Cannon, owner of Community Network Advertising & Print in Texas. It’s these individuals and companies that have gone above and beyond. They are walking the walk of supporting small businesses. They are rooted in commitment and passion to keep our small businesses going during these tough times.
